Foram revelados os candidatos indicados ao The Game Awards de 2017. O evento premia anualmente os melhores lançamentos do mundo dos jogos a cada ano. Essa edição ocorrerá no dia 8 de dezembro.

Na categoria principal, estão indicado dois games exclusivos para Nintendo Switch ("The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild" e "Super Mario Odyssey"), dois exclusivos para PS4 ("Horizon Zero Dawn" e "Persona 5") e um disponível para PC e Xbox One ("PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds").
